Read on for the best cheat sheet for tracking your Tombow Twin Tone markers!

Hello Friends!

I’m back today with another fun blog tutorial! I love organizing and I also love Tombow Twin Tone markers. I decided to put these two loves together and came up with a Tombow Twin Tone tracker. I love all the colours available in the Twin Tone markers and I absolutely adore all of the cute names they paired each colour with! Follow along below to start on your own Tombow Twin Tone tracker.

Supplies

• Art Journal (I used the Canson Mixed Media Notebook)
• Tombow Twin Tone Markers
• Tombow Mono Drawing Pencil
• Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen (I used the hard tip)
• Tombow Mono drawing pen (I used size 05)
• Mono Eraser
• Ruler
• Water Brush Pen

Tips

• Try grouping by colour instead of collection!
• Do gradient swatches of each colour to see the depth and definition of each colour.
• I love to swatch both the ink and watercolour, as both give off different variations of colour. You could stick to just colour or just watercolour.

Step 1: Give it A Title

Using the Tombow Mono Drawing pencil and your ruler, draw 3 straight lines for your title on the top of the page. On the first line, create an outline to letter ‘Twin Tone’. On the second line, write ‘swatches’ and on the third line write the name of the collection you are creating swatches of (ie. Brights, Pastels, Rainbow).

Step 2: Chart It Out

I created a chart with 4 columns and 12 rows. I made the first column larger in width than the others as this is where you will be writing in the names of the colours. Columns 2 and 4 are where you will be creating your swatches. Ensure that the square created is large enough to accommodate your colour swatch. You will also want to ensure that each row has enough height to write in the name of each colour. Go head and write in the names of each colour.

Tip: I like to refer to the Tombow USA website for the names of each colour! I love the creative names they choose.

Step 3: Ink It!

Using the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen, I lettered over the words ‘Twin Tone’ to create some fun lettering! Then, using the Tombow Mono drawing pen, I traced over the remaining words and names of each colour.

Step 4: Create Your Swatches

In column 2, fill in each square with the corresponding colour of each Tombow Twin Tone marker. Then, in column 4 add some colour and activate the colour with your water brush pen. I love to see the comparison between the ink and watercolour swatch!

Step 5: Ink The Grid

Using the Tombow Mono pen and your ruler, start inking the chart. When done, using the Tombow Mono eraser, erase all of the pencil lines on the page.

Step 6: Rinse and Repeat

Repeat the same steps on another page in your art journal, using a different Twin Tone collection. Here are mine!
